The next public activity of Pivô Research will be an Open Rehearsal by artist Bruno Moreno, followed by a conversation with researcher Christine Greiner.
On this occasion, Moreno will present the choreographic research Practices for Exhumation, which he has been developing over the past few years and which leads to the creation of The Birth of the Wind, a project developed during his residency at Pivô Research in the first half of 2024.
The event is divided into three parts: the presentation of the choreographic research Practices for Exhumation, the open rehearsal of The Birth of the Wind, and a conversation between the artist and researcher Christine Greiner.
About The Birth of the Wind:
We are accomplices to a vacuum-sealed body, where the only possible choreography is its breathing. A cloud of bells sways as a witness to this dance that takes place between immobility, vitality, and decomposition.
Bruno Moreno is a collaborator with the platform Marcelo Evelin/Demolition Incorporada and with the CAMPO space (Teresina/PI). His creations are rooted in choreography and oscillate between performance, installation, and video.
Christine Greiner is a professor at PUC-SP and author of books and articles on Japanese culture, philosophy, and body arts.
