Next Wednesday, July 29, at 5pm, artist J. Melo presents the closing event of his residency at Pivô Boulevard.
At 6pm, the artist will present the project developed during the Ilé Wa residency, operated by Cambará Institute at Pivô Boulevard, in a conversation moderated by architect and urbanist Vilma Patrícia, Director of Research and Extension at Cambará Institute, with the participation of architects Kaísa Isabel and Audrey Carolini.
Over the past month, J. Melo has investigated sustainable materials and ancestral knowledge through a residency that brought together design practice, political reflection and historical research. The residency is organized by Cambará Institute for the Promotion of Afro-Brazilian Architecture, in partnership with Pivô, and is supported by the rearc institute.
