Pivô Salvador invites you to a conversation with Anderson AC this Wednesday at 7 PM at Pivô.

QUILOMBO: FABRIQUE DE CONSCIENCE is a project that explores contemporary art as a space for reflection and the transformation of collective consciousness. Developed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, it highlights possible intersections between three geographically distant regions—Brazil, Congo, and Switzerland—that come together through stories woven by artistic practices.

Launched by the Waza Center of Art of Lubumbashi in partnership with Pro Helvetia and Salts, Pivô joined the second edition of the project in January 2025. In this phase, artist Anderson AC—invited by Pivô—and Juliana Sampaio (from the Pivô team) took part in a program that included visits to studios and cultural spaces in Lubumbashi, sharing insights and exchanging experiences with local artists and cultural agents.

Pivô Salvador now opens its doors for Juliana Sampaio to welcome Anderson AC and the public for a conversation about the ten days of immersion in the project. Anderson AC will share how the experience has unfolded in his artistic research and practice, particularly in relation to the Pinacoteca do Beiru, the art space he has run in Salvador since 2015.

The evening will also feature a culinary activation by Baiana Cida, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM.
