[Pivô recebe] Lançamento do livro “3 palavras só ou quatro às vezes mais” de Tomma Wember 

Pivô’s library will receive, on December 8th at 7pm, the launching of the publication “3 words only or four sometimes more” by German artist Tomma Wember (1919-2008). This is a collection of 21 micro-texts marked by the reinvention of the self in language games. The translation into Portuguese was made by Tina Merz in collaboration with Sofia Mariutti. The bilingual edition (German/Portuguese) was co-published by par(ent)esis platform and Grafatório Edições.

Participants:

Tina Merz is a graphic designer and artist. As a researcher, she is dedicated to artist publications and curatorial practices in the printed space. She has a degree in graphic design from UDESC, with an exchange program at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen, Germany, and a master’s degree in visual arts (UDESC), in the line of contemporary artistic processes.

Sofia Mariutti is an editor, translator, poet and MA in German language and literature from the University of São Paulo (USP). She has published “A orca no avião” (Editora Patuá, 2017) and recently translated “Kafka: os anos decisivos”, by Reiner Stach (Todavia, 2022).

Felipe Melhado is an editor and member of the collective Grafatório. Based in Londrina/PR, Grafatório maintains a small cultural center/atelier, where it promotes numerous activities in the area of graphic arts, book arts and the like. Since 2017, the collective also acts as a publishing label.

Júlia Rocha works with dance, writing, and performance. Since 2014, she has kept the label/publishing company É selo de língua alive, with Gustavo Galo. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication of the Body Arts, PUC-SP and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Visual Poetics at ECA-USP.
