Open Call for residency at Pivô Research
In partnership with Pivô, Gasworks’ International Fellowships Programme launches a residency open call for UK-based artists. The programme is funded by Arts Council England.
Pivô and Gasworks are members of the Triangle Network, an international network of arts organisations and projects. The Network’s main activities include artists’ workshops, residencies, exhibitions and events that promote international mobility and exchanges. One such project is the Fellowship Programme, which enables UK-based artists to spend between 4 and 8 weeks in residence with a Triangle partner, in this case, Pivô.
Applicants are required to submit a research proposal (up to 300 words) illustrating how they might approach the residency at Pivô and what they hope to achieve. The panel will be looking for well developed, context-specific proposals.
The artist will be selected on the basis of their application. Artists will be shortlisted by a committee that will include members from Gasworks and Pivô. The successful candidate will be informed by August 10th.
The Fellowship Comprises:
• 8-week fellowship to take place between October and mid-December (exact dates to be agreed)
• Accommodation
• Studio provision
• Basic living expenses
• Material Budget
• Economy return flights
• Local travel budget
• Public event/s as agreed with the host organisation such as Artist Talk or Open Studios
• Administrative and peer support is also provided for all participating artists
