Pivô’s 15th anniversary: Annual Auction Opening at Pivô Copan and party at Sol y Sombra featuring special guests
On August 29 (Saturday), Pivô celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special program bringing together art, music, food and encounters at two venues in São Paulo. Starting at 1pm, the program begins at Pivô Copan with the opening of the Pivô’s 15th Annual Auction, and continues in the evening in Bixiga with the anniversary party at Sol y Sombra.
From 1pm to 8pm, Pivô Copan hosts the opening of the Pivô’s 15th Annual Auction, featuring an exhibition of more than 125 works donated by 122 artists.
The program includes caruru prepared by Rose de Odè, in dialogue with the tradition established at Pivô Boulevard in Salvador, as well as a musical performance by the Alabês Claudimar de Odé, Douglas de Omolu and Renato Obá de Xangô, and a performance by Yasmin de Oxum.
At 10pm, the program continues at Sol y Sombra, in Bixiga, for Pivô’s 15th anniversary party, with DJ sets by Aisha & Yaminah, Jade, Marta Supernova and Mel Marcondes. The venue features a terrace and dance floor, offering different forms of gathering throughout the night. Free tickets are available on Shotgun, access here.
As it celebrates 15 years, Pivô reflects on a trajectory built through encounters, collaborations and long-term relationships with artists, curators, researchers, collectors, institutions, partners and audiences. Throughout this journey, Pivô has held more than 80 exhibitions, involved more than 660 artists in its projects, and welcomed more than 120,000 people at Pivô Copan and Pivô Boulevard.
More than physical spaces, Pivô has established itself as a contemporary art platform sustained by these networks and encounters. Celebrating its 15th anniversary means recognizing this collective history while also looking toward the chapters ahead, reaffirming its commitment to artistic production, research, experimentation and the creation of new spaces for exchange.
