Pivô and UFBA Sign Technical Cooperation Agreement and Formalize Partnership
On the morning of Thursday (07/05), the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) hosted the signing of a technical cooperation agreement between Pivô and UFBA, formalizing the existing partnership between the two institutions. Pivô’s presence in Salvador, initiated three years ago, has been strengthened through a close relationship with the university, developed through exchanges with professors, researchers, students, and academic programs. The agreement was signed by rector Paulo Miguez and Pivô’s executive director Carolina de Sá, with signatures from Vice Rector Guilherme Bertissolo and Pivô’s program manager Ramon Martins as witnesses.
This relationship has already unfolded into a range of collaborations and exchanges involving residencies, public programs, research initiatives, and shared projects. Among these collaborations are the contributions and participation of Paola Barreto, Tiganá Santana, Eduardo Rocha, Ludmila Britto, Priscila Lolata, Alejandra Muñoz, Sérgio Ekerman, Dilton Lopes, and Prof. Minho, as well as students and researchers such as Mayara Ferrão, João Gravador, Milena Ferreira, Victor Mota, and Ludimila Lima, among others.
The formalization of the technical cooperation agreement between Pivô and UFBA reaffirms and strengthens this existing relationship, recognizing the importance of joint action between an institution dedicated to artistic experimentation and one of the country’s leading centers for education and research. As Pivô marks three years of activity in Salvador, this partnership significantly expands the possibilities for developing programs, projects, and collaborations, connecting artistic and academic practices in a structured and ongoing way.
This is a long-term initiative aimed at strengthening knowledge production, education, and the circulation of contemporary practices, contributing to the development of the city’s artistic and cultural landscape.
