Presente para Oxum e Iemanjá no Pivô Salvador
Last Saturday, February 1st, Pivô Salvador hosted over 300 people at the event Presente para Oxum e Iemanjá [Gift for Oxum and Iemanjá], marking the opening of the institution’s activities and public programs for 2025.
The celebration is the result of a collaboration between Pivô and Joceval Santos, a chef, Ogan in Candomblé, and neighbor of Pivô Salvador. For several years, he has upheld the tradition of cooking and preparing offerings for the great mothers, first delivering them to the calm waters of Dique do Tororó and then to the deep waters of Rio Vermelho.
In addition to the kitchen activation by the chef and special drinks by Mangará Drinks, the program also featured a DJ set by Kikelomo from Oroko Radio, a performance of atabaques by Ítalo Pereira, vocalist and member of Omo Oba, and a manifesto through the creation of a flag by multimedia artists Cafira Zoé and Camila Mota.
We thank everyone who participated in this beautiful event, which is now becoming an annual tradition at Pivô Salvador for the celebrations of Oxum and Iemanjá!
