Final result of the open call for the residency at Pivô Research
The subscriptions for the Triangle Network Fellowship Residency open call for UK-based artists were analyzed by Pivô’s and Gasworks’ curatorial teams who chose one artist to participate in a fully-sponsored 8 weeks residency in São Paulo. The programme is funded by Arts Council England.
Pivô has the pleasure announce the selected artist: Hannah Lees
Hannah Lees’ work investigates ideas of cycles, constancy and mortality; the sense that things come to an end and the potential for new beginnings. This constancy, be it in religion, science, history or in organic matter, is visible in her practice through her attempts to make sense of and recognise traces of life.
Lees work often reflects on the role of food in forming histories and rituals, and the ways that gathering to eat and drink can connect cultures and rituals from different times and places.
