Alexandre dos Anjos (São Paulo, SP, 1985) is a visual artist, stylist and costume designer. The artist is represented by Galeria 0101 Art platform and he is part of the group of stylists residing in the event Casa de Criadores with his eponymous brand. He works in the areas of creation and visual arts, creative direction, creation and execution of costumes for carnival. His artistic research features the black body, and creates a relationship between art, fashion and resistance. For him, clothing is understood as a canvas, worked by and for black bodies, which are getting ready for the fight and for the party.

The artist defines his poetics as a possibility of: “accessing divinities that live in invisible dimensions, making the internal ancestry emerge, pulsate, burn and bloom (…). The masks convey my power to wield magic. A mental panel in 3rd dimension, the external HD of the head, a cloud of files, the resignification and materialization of themes that do not end, wearable objects that are no longer ephemeral, gaining priceless values.”
