Ana Roman

Ana Roman is a researcher, professor, and curator. Her research and practice focus on contemporary art, institutional critique, and decolonial thought. She holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in Geography, as well as a postgraduate degree in Brazilian Studies.

She is currently a curator at the Tomie Ohtake Institute, where she co-curated the exhibitions Essays for the Museum of Origins (2023–2024), Carlito Carvalhosa: The Half of the Double (2024), and The Earth, Fire, Water, and Winds – Toward a Museum of Errancy with Édouard Glissant (2025), among others.

She was a curator at Pivô (2022–2023) and was part of the curatorial team of the 34th São Paulo Biennial.
