Anna Pasco Bolta investigates how life and existence are constructed and sustained through a transdisciplinary practice that intertwines art, science, technology, gastronomy, and performance from an ecological and relational perspective. Her work questions systems of coexistence and proposes more intimate and co-creative forms of relating to other species and environments, challenging Western dichotomies while foregrounding the symbiotic relations that sustain everyday life.
She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, where she graduated with honors. Her practice is shaped by close collaborations with scientific institutions across Germany, Denmark, Belgium, and Spain, as well as by participation in international artistic and research contexts across Europe, the Americas, and the Arctic. She has presented her work in both artistic and scientific settings, including Envisioning Natural Histories at the Natural History Museum Vienna (2025) and the Electromicrobiology Congress in Denmark (2023).
Her work has been exhibited internationally in institutions and cultural spaces including Galerie Herold, Haus der Kunst, Cairo Off Biennale, La Capella, Kunsthalle Kempten, and ISEA Festival, among others. She has also received multiple awards and grants, including the Ricard Camí Prize (2025), Danish Art Foundation (2025), Alexander Tutsek Foundation (2024), Stiftung Kunstfonds (2022), Munic New Media (2023) and Barcelona Producció (2021).
She has experience as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and at the Department of Fine Arts within the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Munich, as well as in other cultural and educational contexts.
