Anne Rodrigues works at the intersection of history, music, and politics. With a degree in History from UNEB, she researches musical movements forged in the diaspora. She was the coordinator of the Mundo Afro platform for art, education, and business development, working alongside Afro-Brazilian blocs such as Ilê Aiyê, Malê Debalê, Filhos de Gandhy, Muzenza, and Cortejo Afro. As a producer, she has worked with Salvador Negro Amor, Fundo Brasil de Direitos Humanos, Débora Small, and Amnesty International. In 2022, she served as the artistic director for the Rumpilezz Festival and Fala! Festival in Salvador, in addition to curating the exhibition “Letieres: The Conductor Who Became Music.” At the invitation of MAM-Rio, she collaborated on Ana Lira’s piece “Nos traquejos do tempo.” She was also the music curator for Salvador Capital Afro and a coordinator for PAMBA in 2023. This year, her production company Omin Art released works by Tito Oliveira, Savannah, and Jad Venttura, and brought the final show of Yussef Dayes’ “Experience” tour to Salvador. In 2024, she directed the music video “Te Benzo Te Rezo” by Amanda Rosa. A teacher at the Rumpilezzinho Laboratory since 2013, she currently serves on the curatorial board of the Rumpilezz Institute.
