Beya Gille Gacha is a self-taught, multidisciplinary French-Cameroonian artist who lives and works between Paris, France, and Bafoussam, Cameroon.
Her work is part of several notable collections, including those of the World Bank and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, the Fenix Museum in Rotterdam, and the Bunker Art Space in Florida.
For I’m a Black Ocean, Beya will present performative works intrinsic to her practice while also serving as co-curator of the project, which embodies the notions of en-commun and faire temple central to her association NÉFE (www.nefe.fr
), founded in 2013.
