Carlos Carvalho, born in 1981, lives and works in São Paulo, and holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Campinas.
He enrolled in artistic residencies such as: La Forma Equivalente, in Nicaragua in 2009; Rimbun Dahan open residency for international artist, in Malaysia in 2017; and Shangyuan Art Museum International Residency Program, in China in 2018. In 2016 he took part in the Mark Rothko Art Center international textile art symposium, in Latvia. He learned to grade diamonds in New Delhi at the International Gemological Institute in 2015 and did a post graduate program in etching at the École des Arts d'Anderlecht in Belgium from 2013 to 2014. He’s individual exhibition Rostos was presented in Nicaragua at the Codice Gallery in 2008, and at the National Art Gallery Of Namibia in Namibia in 2009.
He was showcased in the India Art fair 2016 with a pop-up solo show at the official residence of Brazil in New Delhi, and in 2018 at the Art Expo Malaysia art fair in Kuala Lumpur. His works have been included in group exhibitions in Brazil, Nicaragua, Latvia, China and Central Europe, of which the most outstanding being the Triennial Textile Art of today which began in 2018 in Slovakia and until the end of 2019 will pass through the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
