
.Catarina Duncan (Rio de Janeiro, 1993) acts as a curator and cultural programmer. Graduated in Visual Cultures and Art History by Goldsmiths College, University of London (2010 – 2014). She is currently curator of Solar dos Abacaxis. She was part of the curatorial team of the 32nd São Paulo Biennial, ‘INCERTEZA VIVA’ (2015 – 2016), of the 36th Panorama of Brazilian Art: SERTÃO (2019), of ‘Pivô Arte e Pesquisa’ (2014-2015) and of the exhibitions’ Terra Communal Marina Abramovic ‘at Sesc Pompéia (2015), “Still Being” by artist Antony Gormley at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (2012), from the public programming of Ernesto Neto’s work’ Cura Bra Cura Té ‘at Pinacoteca (2019). She participated in the artistic residencies ‘Residents Art Dubai’ (2019), ‘Belo Jardim’ in Pernambuco (2017), ‘Lastro Travessias Ocultas’ in Bolivia (2016-2017) and ‘Lastro Centro América’ in Guatemala (2015-2016). She was part of the collective ‘Terreyro Coreográfico’ (2015-2017) in collaboration with Teatro Oficina. She was the curator of the exhibitions ‘ʻA Construção’ (2020) and ‘Somos Muitxs’ (2018) with Bernardo Mosqueira and ”Re-conhecimento” (2019) with Denilson Baniwa at Solar dos Abacaxis, ‘of our internal empty spaces’ (2019 ) by Gretta Sarfaty at Central Galeria, the collective ‘⦿’ (2018) at Galeria Leme (2018), Fio Corpo Terra ‘(2017) at Saracura (2017).
