We are a collective of artists, actors, actresses, DJs, and musicians, engaged in poetic action, hence political action, with a focus on reflecting and representing blackness, its historical and social ramifications, and its impact on shaping the black identity within artistic expressions. In doing so, we engage in dialogue with other poetic voices that explore and research blackness as a theme.
Legítima Defesa (Legitimate Defense) is an act of aesthetic guerrilla that arises from impossibility, restriction, and the necessity to defend existence, life, and poetic expression.
It emerges from the act of having a voice.
To be made invisible is to disappear; to disappear is to lose the past and foreclose the future, therefore, it is not an option.
