Deri Andrade

1987, lives and works at Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Deri Andrade is a researcher, curator and journalist. Master in aesthetics and history of Art (University of São Paulo-USP), specialist in culture, education and Ethnic-racial relations (CELACC-Center for Latin American studies on Culture and communication-USP) and graduated in Social Communication: qualification in Journalism (Centro Universitário Tiradentes-Unit). Curated solo exhibitions and collectives in Brazil and in countries such as England and Italy. Interested in art contemporary, focusing on the poetics of black artists and developed the platform Afro Project, result of a mapping of black artists in national scope. It has passages through cultural institutions, such as The Art Museum Moderna de São Paulo, Unibes Cultural and Instituto Brincante.

It is currently Assistant curator at Inhotim Institute.
