1983, Minas Gerais

Desali (Contagem, Minas Gerais, 1983) conceived Coletivo Piolho Nababo. He travels through multiple languages, including graffiti, photography, video and urban intervention, seeking to promote contact between the margin and the center, the traditional artistic institutions and their colonialism, and provoking contaminations and conecting these spaces and the streets.

Desali has a degree in Fine Arts from the Guignard School (UEMG), and he has already been nominated for the Pipa Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He participated in several exhibitions, such as: Enciclopédia Negra (2021, Pinacoteca de São Paulo, SP); Carolina Maria de Jesus: Um Brasil para os brasileiros (2021, Instituto Moreira Salles, SP);  Sertão, 36 Panorama de Arte Brasileira (2018, Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo), Bolsa Pampulha (Museu de Arte da Pampulha, Belo Horizonte, MG) and 32nd edition Salão Arte Pará and Salão de Itajaí (Santa Catarina). He has already been part of residencies, exhibitions, collectives and individuals in Brazil and abroad. His works are included in the collection of Centro Cultural São Paulo (São Paulo, SP), Museu de Arte da Pampulha (Belo Horizonte, MG) and Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (São Paulo, SP).
