Iansã Negrão

**Iansã Negrão** is a visual artist, designer, and mother. She graduated in Journalism from Facom/UFBA and directed her practice toward image-making. She worked as art editor at *A Tarde* newspaper, receiving six awards from the Society for News Design between 2010 and 2012. She also developed illustrations, diagrams, and editorial design projects for *Folha de São Paulo*, *Estado de São Paulo*, and publications by Editora Abril.

As art editor at *Correio*, she received awards for Best Cover of the Year, Best Weekend Redesign Project, and gold, silver, and bronze distinctions in page design at ÑH18 and ÑH19, the Ibero-American division of the Society for News Design.

In 2016, she joined the editorial board of Blade, a publishing initiative dedicated to exploring print possibilities through Risograph technology, and became part of the curatorial team of Pedra Papel e Tesouro, an art, landscape, and print fair in Salvador, where she also designed the project’s graphic materials. As an illustrator, she participated in the group exhibition *Cabeças* at the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia in 2016.

She was part of the studios Quimera and Santo Design and currently works as a creator at Grida. She lives and works between Salvador and São Félix.
