Jamires Martins is a visual artist whose practice spans illustration, painting, experimental collage, mural work, and the design of eco-adornments and amulets. Her work develops through material investigations using cajá tree bark, colored clays, and discarded plastics, articulating narratives around the memory of water and forest territories. In her works, imaginaries emerge that evoke animals, customs, beliefs, and protective objects, composing a poetics that intertwines nature, memory, and fabulation.
She has presented work in galleries and museums in the state of Piauí, as well as participating in national exhibitions, such as the 100 Years of Radio in Brazil competition, promoted by Abert, and shows connected to student biennials.
