Jonas Van (1989, Ceará) is a queer artist from Ceará. Their practice combines gender disobedience, language and ecology using sound-video, ephemeral installations and text. Their work proposes monstrosity as a fictional and deeply intimate narrative, a linguistic and temporal fracture in an anti-colonial perspective. He has been in residence in Mexico, Bolivia, Portugal, Spain, Brazil and Switzerland. Master student in Visual Arts - CCC (Critical, Curatorial and Cybernetic studies) at HEAD in Geneva. Lives and works in Geneva (CH).
