Marcelo Teles is a cultural producer, Black movement and human rights activist, and community organizer working in Salvador’s Historic Center. He is the founder of Centro Cultural Que Ladeira é Essa?, located at Ladeira da Preguiça, where he develops socio-cultural initiatives focused on territorial valorization, political education, and strengthening residents’ permanence in the face of exclusion and urban speculation.
His trajectory connects culture, memory, and social mobilization, affirming the hillside as a living space of resistance and collective production.
