Tadáskía (max wíllà morais)

1993, in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo

Tadáskía, before known as max wíllà morais, is artist, trans, writer, graduated in Visual Arts at Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (2016), master’s student in Education at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2019-2021) and a fellow at Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage in Mediation (2014) and in the Formação e Deformação program (2019-2020). Her works of drawing, photography, installation, sewing and apparitions mobilize stories, geographies and the material and immaterial relations that can arise between the world and living things. It also elaborates visible and invisible experiences from the black diaspora and from both familiar and unusual encounters. Tadáskía was nominated for the PIPA award in 2020 and exhibited at the gallery A Gentil Carioca, at Museu de Arte do Rio, Paço Imperial do Rio de Janeiro and, alongside Leonilson, at the Auroras art space, in São Paulo. She was an educator at Museu de Arte do Rio (2014-2017) and collaborated with Instituto Maria e João Aleixo em Pesquisa, Educação e Culturas em Periferias (2018-2020). In 2018 she participated with Diambe da Silva in “The dust doesn't want to come out of the Esqueleto” (2017), an experimental documentary shown in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Siberia, United Arab Emirates and India, among other places.
