Visual artist and designer with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) – São Paulo. Master’s degree in Visual Poetics (PPGAV) ECA-USP-São Paulo.
Ventura currently researches philosophies and constructive processes of architecture and crafts pre-colonial (African continent-Amerindian Peoples – Vedic philosophy). Her works speak
on the feminine and raciality in narratives that seek to understand the complexity psychosocial of Afro-descendant women inserted in different contexts. Black woman, chants his bodily memory rubbing it into her ancestry from stories of her life and research. In her works there is a special interest in cosmology and afro-Amerindian Cosmogony beyond the use of its objects, symbols and rituals.
Among the national and international exhibitions in which he participated are the individual “A noite suspensa e o que posso aprender com o silêncio” in Inhotim (2023),”O Sorriso de Acotirene”at Centro Cultural São Paulo (2018), and the collectives “Estratégias do Feminino” at Farol Santander (Porto Alegre, 2019), “Histórias Feministas” at Masp (São Paulo, 2019),”Repartimiento – Luto Tropical” at Galeria Pasto (Buenos Aires, 2019), “De ontem para Amanhã” at Centro Cultural São Paulo (2020), ” Enciclopédia Negra” (2021) at Pinacoteca from the state of São Paulo, “Carolina Maria de Jesus: Um Brasil para os brasileiros” Instituto Moreira Sales (São Paulo, 2021), “Crônicas Cariocas” no MAR-Museu de Arte do Rio (Rio de Janeiro, 2021), Empowerment-Kunstmuseum Wolfburg (Germany, 2022) and BRASIS-Arte e Pensamento Negro (São Paulo, 2023).
In 2023 she was nominated for the PIPA Award and winner of the FOCO ArtRio award.
In 2018 she was a resident at Ocupação Coletivo Namibìa, Espaço VOID in São Paulo and 2016 at the Jardim suspendido artistic residency in Rio de Janeiro.
