**Pedro Alban** is a visual artist and architect. His research focuses on the universe of construction and its practical and subjective processes — material flows, ecological implications, and questions of memory. The experience of being the last person to enter buildings before they cease to exist — acting as the final threshold between rescue and disposal — informs his recent work.
Selected projects include participation in the São Paulo International Architecture Biennial (2019, 2022) and the Ibero-American Architecture Biennial (2022), where he was a finalist; the solo exhibitions *Contracorpos* (2019) and *Notícias de Lugar Nenhum*; and participation in the 64th Bahia Visual Arts Salon with the work *Todo Material é Memória, Todo Resíduo também* (2022).
He is co-author of the book *Cincotrês* (2022) and led the workshop *Território Material* at the Tomie Ohtake Institute (2024). Between 2017 and 2022, he was part of the collective Mouraria 53, which occupied and renovated a ruin in Salvador’s historic center using remains from more than 60 demolitions across the city.
Since 2020, together with Natália Lessa and Fernanda Veiga, he has coordinated A Arquivo, a project dedicated to facilitating and expanding the reuse of materials in architecture.
