Rosemeire Passos, known as Rose de Odè, is from Bahia and is the great-granddaughter of Mãe Senhora (Oxum Miuá), granddaughter of Mestre Didi Alapiní of Ilê Asipá, and goddaughter of Cida Nantejuá of Ilê Opo Iya Detá. A nurse, postgraduate, and cook, she works to value and promote terreiro cuisine, affirming the history and struggles of Black people and African-based religions. Her dish consists of akará, caruru, vatapá, shrimp, and green tomato salad, accompanied by white rice, xinxin de galinha, black-eyed peas, fried plantain, popcorn, and dendê oil farofa.
