Vilma Patrícia holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), as well as a specialization in Law, Inequality, and Climate Governance from UFBA’s Faculty of Law. She is a co-founder and member of EtniCidades-FAUFBA, co-founder and Director of Research and Extension at Cambará Institute, and a public servant at UFBA. Her research focuses on participatory architectural projects in Candomblé terreiro communities, as well as on issues of gender, race, and class, and Afro-referenced urbanism in its polyphonic dimension through the perspective of crossroads (encruzilhadas), based on concepts she has developed.
