For the first time, Pivô Research’s selection process happened at once. The three invited curators of the program and Pivô’s team worked together to think about possible correspondences and transversal interests between the 376 submitted projects. The jury members endeavoured to bring together a representative group of artists, taking into account the relevance and quality of their artistic research, in addition to the diversity of identities present in Brazil – of race/ethnicity, gender, and their social and cultural contexts. The program enables a series of individual and group activities – several of which are open to the public – throughout 2021. The participants will be granted with R$ 750/month to encourage their involvement and attendance in the program’s dynamics.
