Denise Ferreira da Silva is the guest of the first public activity of Pivô Research 2021. She participated in a conversation with curators Cláudio Bueno and João Simões. The activity has opened the residency program more broadly and in dialogue with the following cycles, conducted by Catarina Duncan and Helio Menezes.
The dialogue departed from her films Serpent Rain (2016) and 4 Waters-Deep Implicancy (2018), co-directed with Arjuna Neuman, to address some of the ideas that underlie the thinking of the teacher, artist and philosopher. Dr Ferreira da Silva is an academic and practising artist, her work addresses the ethico-political challenges of the global present.
